Srin Sridharan
Partner, Waypoint Investment Partners
As an instructor for the practicum, Srin brings a unique mix of strategy, management consulting, finance and investing alongside a passion for social impact.
Srin is the head of investment research and due diligence across Waypoint's public and private equity platforms. Before joining Waypoint, Srin was a management consultant with The Boston Consulting Group. At BCG, Srin focused on value creation strategies for Fortune 500 companies in the Financial Services, Consumer & Telecom industries and has advised on Private Equity transactions for some of North America’s leading PE funds. Prior to BCG, Srin worked as an Equity Research Associate with Gluskin Sheff + Associates Inc. focused on fundamental investment research.
Srin is a passionate about social impact. He leads a number of consulting initiatives for social enterprises and has written several publications in the field of impact investing, receiving the Laurier Alumni Community Leadership Award for his work. He currently heads the Lazaridis Management Consulting Practicum - an initiative dedicated to providing pro-bono management consulting services and research for social enterprises
Srin has degrees in Mathematics (University of Waterloo) and Business Administration (Wilfrid Laurier University).
Dr. Sofy Carayannopoulos

Sofy Carayannopoulos is an associate professor at the School of Business and Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University. She currently designs, coordinates and teaches introductory business strategy courses to classes of over 200 undergraduate students, as well as a PhD class. She has built a number of innovative strategy courses at Laurier, including the Management Consulting Practicum and competitive case analysis courses that have trained several of Laurier's best business strategy graduates
She holds an MBA and a PhD in Strategy and Entrepreneurship from Schulich School of Business at York University, as well as a Bachelor of Commerce and Economics and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto. Her award-winning cases have been published and distributed by the Laurier Institute and Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice and The Case Research Journal.
Carayannopoulos’ research has been presented at numerous conferences, including the Academy of Management and the Strategic Management Conference. In addition, her research has been published in the International Journal of Knowledge, Culture and Change Management,Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice and Research Policy.
Consulting Advisory Board
The alumni advisory board are passionate supporters of the practicum - providing students with their insights & experiences, helping identify impact-focused companies that can be clients of the practicum, leading projects and serving as mentors for students aspiring to enter the management consulting field. Many of them were former students of the practicum!
